Whether you know it or not, God loves you exactly the way that you are. It doesn't matter who you are, what you've done, or where you've been. He loves you and desires to have a personal relationship with you. That's right, the Creator of the universe knows every intimate detail about you and still, He loves you. And He wants you to know and love Him.

Let's face it. We all mess up now and then and none of us are perfect. Religion says that if we work hard enough and be good enough, we'll be acceptable to God. But it doesn't work that way. None of us can be good enough to measure up. The great news, however, is that God knows that and even still, He loves us!

That's why Jesus came. God knew we couldn't do it ourselves, so he sent His only Son, Jesus, to do it for us. Jesus paid the penalty for our sin, once and for all, so that we didn't have to. All we have to do is accept His gift.

Don't come to Jesus saying you'll try harder or you'll be good from now on. Just come exactly as you are ... that's the way that He loves you anyway!

Would you allow me to introduce Him to you now? He's right there beside you as you read this page. He wants to give you the gift of being reconciled to God. He wants to have a personal, intimate relationship with you. He wants to give you the gift of peace and eternal life. But He won't force it on you. He would never violate you like that. He's just waiting there for you to invite Him into your life.

Here are some good steps for you as you follow Christ

Step One:  Come to Jesus for Forgiveness and life.

If you have, then you are already experiencing the wonderful peace and joy that comes with knowing that your sins are forgiven and that you are connected with the One who created you and designed you to live a full and wonderfully rich kind of life! (John 10:10)

Step Two:  GROW

GROW stands for this:  go to church, read your Bible, obey God, and witness.

If you are from Akron there are many, wonderful Bible teaching and believing churches in our area.  If you would like, we would love you have you join us at Akron Foursquare Church.

The key here is to find a church that believes the Bible, it's truth about who Jesus is and teaches it.

In a Bible believing church, you will find other people who are growing just like you are in their walk with God.  Here you will find support, people to pray with and invaluable teaching that will help you grow.

Read the Bible

So many people ask "How can I hear God?"  The main way is to learn what He has already said in His word, the Bible.  There you will find sixty six books that are centered around one theme, how to know and grow in a relationship with God.

We also suggest that you start a "Life Journal".  There you will learn how to read the Bible and study it daily, record things that God is showing you and begin to keep a list of things you are praying about.  For more information on Life Journals click here.

Obey God

When you see something in the scriptures, do it.  this is a huge catalyst on how to grow in the Lord.  One of the first points of obedience is to follow the Lord by obeying His command to be baptized.  (Matthew 28:18-20)

Witness

Witnessing means to share the good news about what has happened to you with others.  you have many friends, relatives, acquaintances, and neighbors who would have a new life just like you if you would share your story!  Think of witnessing as introducing your old friends to your new One, Jesus!

We have structured our church so that we can support you in your telling your story to others.  Why not invite your friends to a Akron Foursquare Church weekend service.  There, they will hear the gospel every week and be given an opportunity to say "Yes!" to Jesus.

Step Three:  Discover why God created you!

In this next step, we encourage you to find places to serve others and God, because you were saved to serve!  When we serve others, we find that God works through us.  As we team up together, amazing things happen and god touches more and more people.

There are several ways to do this:

First, we encourage you to "Roll up your sleeves" and just do it!  Volunteer at the church, find a dream and help fulfill it, a need and fill it, and a hurt and help heal it.

Second, discover the wonderful joy of a Spirit filled life!  God has sent His Holy Spirit to empower you and help you serve Him and others.
